Major investment projects implemented in the period of 1999-2010

1. Reconstruction of the production of titanium dioxide.
There was an upgrade and expansion of capacities in different stages of the process in two workshops for titanium dioxide production (digestion unit, black liquor filtration, hydrolysis, white filtration, calcination, wet grinding, drying, packaging). As a result the production capacity for titanium dioxide was increased from 7200 tons per month up to 9100 tons per month. At the same time the qualitative characteristics of the finished products were improved, the range of brands of titanium dioxide was expanded from 2 brands to 5 brands of the product.
The reconstruction performed allows planning in the coming years the introduction of new brands for special applications (for production of plastics, laminated paper, weather-resistant coatings).

2. The reconstruction of the production of mineral fertilizers.
Due to the fact that after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine was cut off from the apatite raw materials for the production of phosphate fertilizers, the plant for production of monoammonium phosphate was rehabilitated, that enabled the processing of a new type of phosphorus-containing raw materials - North African phosphorites. This provided an opportunity to diversify sources of raw materials, as well as to provide the output of monoammonium at the capacity level of 10 thous. tons per month.

3. The construction of a new plant for manufacture of sulfuric acid, capacity of 600 thousand tons per year.
This project is currently under active implementation. Its implementation will allow  intensification of production of titanium dioxide by providing the necessary amount of sulfuric acid, while in comparison with the acid currently obtained in existing shop, its production cost will be significantly reduced. In addition, due to the effective utilization of heat while burning sulfur Crimea Titan PJSC will receive additional sources of cheap electricity and steam, thereby reducing specific consumption of natural gas and electricity from external networks. In the social sphere the implementation of the project will create additional jobs for people of the region and in the environmental field - to ensure a minimal impact on the environment via the introduction of modern environmental safety technology.
