The history of "Crimea TITAN" reflects the history of our country, it is full of Fairs and both ups and downs.

Due to "TITAN" active participation in economic life of the country, creation and strengthening of its export potential, it can be fairly called one of the enterprises that developed Ukrainian history.

Crimea TITAN is a company with more than 30-years history.

On December 28, 1969 a decision to establish Crimea State Industrial Union "TITAN" (CSIU "TITAN") was made. The construction was stipulated by the necessity of increasing production volume of titanium dioxide, which is a valuable raw material for many industries.

The first years of the company's existence are marked by gradual activating of production complexes for production of ammophos (1971), aluminum sulphate and Sodium silicate (1973), red ferrioxide pigments (1974) and activating of two workshops for making pigment titanium dioxide (1979) with 40 thousand tons annual capacity each.

At the beginning of 90-s, during perestroika period, prospering "TITAN", just as many other Ukrainian enterprises, experienced difficult times: traditional ties with raw material suppliers and consumers were broken, the construction of new workshops was stopped, only 41% of titanium dioxide production facilities were used and plant's debts were growing...

In March 1999 CJSC "TITAN" entered North-Crimean Experimental Economic Area (NCEEA) "Sivash". Earlier NCEEA "Sivash" was the only really functioning NCEEA in Ukraine (the implemention was initiated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in Autonomous Republic of Crimea as a local economic experiment on the territory of Krasnoperekopsk region and Armyansk town).

Year 2000

• To help the company out of difficult situation a group of highly qualified managers was gathered. Their efforts successfully led the company out of the crisis to a new higher level of its development.
  
  In six months the company has increased production volume, activated new equipment and reconstructed existing facilities and managed to raise income as per year totals. In the 1st six months of 2000 sales of products compiled UAH 132,99 thousand, and 25,2% of it fall on export sales. Sales income increased by UAH 13 million 746 thousand compared to the 1st six months of 1999. While production profitability had reached 19,7%.
  
  

• SJSC "TITAN" is one of the pioneers in Ukrainian stock market to issue corporate bonds. In March 2001 the company successfully placed its first bonds loan worth UAH 3.34 million.
  

• September 2001 the term of NCEEA "Sivash" existance came to an end and all the companies that participated in the experiment, including "Titan", were permitted to enter the Priority Development Area (PDA) "Sivash".
  

• November 26, 2001 business plan of SJSC "TITAN", as of a PDA "Sivash" participant was affirmed. It was titled "SJSC "TITAN" reconstruction of production facilities and technologies upgrade".
  The main aim of this business plan was to implement a long-term systematic reconstruction and modernization of capital assets . As a result of these activities the production volume will increase and the quality of all products will be in compliance with modern international standards.
  
  

• In 2002 due to some objective reasons (100% tax on Ukrainian import imposed by USA, world economic recession, destabilization of prices for titanium dioxide, etc.) company's marketing strategy was re-orientated to European markets.
  

• Certain steps were taken aimed to improve quality of products, decrease the net cost, save financial, material and technical resources. In 2002 industrial and economic activity of SJSC TITAN was developing in the following directions:
  

  
  
  • improvement of financial and economical performance of the company;
    
  • strengthening product competitiveness by means of its quality improvement and nomenclature extension;
    
  • reconstruction and modernization of company's capital assets;
    
  • increase investment appeal.
    
  
  

• May 2002 the company obtained an International Quality Standard Certificate ISO 9001:2000 for titanium dioxide production. This is the evidence of "Titan" production beeing in compliance with international standards and of high quality of its products.
  

• September 2002 a new mark of titanium dioxide was introduced - Crimea CR-03, TiO2 of a superior quality, with improved whiteness indicators that correspond to the ISO 591-77 International Quality Sstandard.
  

• The same year the company issued and successfully placed bonds totaling UAH 15 million.
  

• In 2003 new marks of titanium dioxide were developed - Crimea CR-04 and Crimea CR-07. Their technical characteristics ( tint-reducing power in particular) correspond to International Quality Standards. This fact significantly increases competitiveness of the product on international markets. New marks were developed by the specialists of the company.
  

• May 19, 2003 new ammonium sulphate production line was launched .
  

• In August 2003 in the frames of the pilot project initiated by International Bank of Reconstruction &Development (IBRD)and Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "Integrated Solution System" project, British company "WS Atkins International Ltd" performed an ecological audit of our company, sulphuric acid workshop in particular.
  The audit was aimed to examine main production process and types of waste products as well as to determine the level of environmental problems within Ukrainian law and EC regulations and standards. The results of the audit can be a basis for a pilot project "Integrated permission for waste products discharge ", provided that it gets a positive public opinion in the region the company is situated.
  According to auditors resolution, in spite of obsolete production equipment and technologies, company's activity and waste disposal practice is in accordance with environmental legislative and statutory acts of Ukraine. As stated in the conclusion, company's administration perfectly realises the importance of environmental protection due to its production process and therefore has significantly increased expenses on environmental protection activities in the recent years.
  At the same time, it was pointed out that the existing environmental protection control system does not comply with the best activities and requirements practised in EC countries.
  Results of performed audit and propositions of Crimea TITAN have been combined into recommendations regarding repairing and modernization of sulphuric acid production process. The calculation of approximate expenses was also made, compiling USD 8,5 million.
  Nevertheless no propositions concerning financing the environmental protection activities within the IBRD project were made
  
  

• In autumn 2003 the company received a priority right for using company trade mark "Crimea Titan" and product marks Crimea CR-1, Crimea CR-02, Crimea CR-03, Crimea CR-04, Crimea CR-07.
  
  

• Production volume of company industrial product expressed in established prices was the highest in 2003 than in any other period since 1998.
  In 2003 it totaled 357 630 thousand UAH and increased by 133 649 thousand UAH or 60% comparing to 2002.
  Also production volume of main kinds of products in natural expression corresponds to:
  titanium dioxide 55 023 tons, that is by 35 % higher than last-year indicators;
  mineral fertilizers - 27 353 tons, that is by 149 % higher than in 2002;
  sulfuric acid - 305 500 tons, that is by 61% higher than last-year indicators.
  Sales volume of main kinds of products has increased by more than 60% to 360 million UAH. Volume of SJSC "Titan" export operations in 2003 comparing to 2002 increased by 6,8% to 266 million UAH.
  In 2003 average wages of the company employees increases by 25%.
  In 2003 qualitative characteristics of produced titanium dioxide have significantly increased after "white" filtration device reconstruction with drum vacuum-filters replacement by leaf vacuum-filters (Moore filter) and hydrolysis process automation performed in "Titan-2" workshop."Ammophos" workshop daily output capacity increased by 40%. Energy consumption costs decreased as well as raw material consumption due to performed extraction room automation.
  
  

• During 2001 - 2003 the company introduced a number of arrangements aimed for pigment titanium dioxide quality indicators stabilization and improvement.
  There have been performed reconstruction of "white" filtration equipment with drum vacuum-filters replacement by leaf ones (Moore filters) and hydrolysis process automation. besides that, there have been purchased and installed "black" filtration press-filters (prehydrolysis solutions filtration). The process of
  hydrolytic acid extraction has been automated in ammophos workshop as well.
  Taking into consideration both implemented and planned automation of all the production processes, the central control room of the company has also been completely re-equipped. It enabled the enterprise’s operators to supervise process flows, control energy and raw materials consumption in on-line mode, using their PC displays, and to react on-the- fly to changes in manufacturing process.
  
  

• Approximately UAH 28 mln were allotted for environmental actions and drawn down by the SJSC "Titan" in 2003. In total, during the period 2000-2003, the Company diverted UAH 105,45 mln to ecological activities, in particular:
  
  2000 – UAH 15,005 mln.
  
  2001- UAH 30,65 mln
  
  2002 – UAH 31,800 mln.
  
  2003 - about UAH 28 mln
  
  Besides that GAK Titan effects annual payments of surrounding environment pollution fees to the Crimean Autonomous Republic Budget. Within 1998 – 2003 the sum of means transferred to the Republic’s budget totaled UAH 2, 823 mln altogether.
  
  

• In December 2003 the Republican environmental committee of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea conducted a quarterly audit of the SJSC "Titan" activities. According to its conclusions it was established that the maximum permissible concentration of all air pollutant components was observed along the border of the 3 km buffer area around GAK Titan industrial site.
  The positive developments in terms of pollutants emissions reduction have been recorded – from 17537 t/y in 1996-1999 down to 9464.9 t/y in 2000 – 2003. The reason behind that result is that within the said period GAK Titan fitted another 62 pollutant emission sources with dust and gas removal installations aa well as with off-gas cleaning devices. All in all 116 emission sources are currently fitted with such installations.
  In general, geoecological situation in the neighborhoods of the acid waste lagoon remains stable.
  It has been highlighted that the acid waste lagoon operations are monitored as scheduled by: industrial sanitary laboratory, environment protection department, ground water hydrology department of the Company.
  According to 11 months monitoring data of 2003 the SJSC”Titan” did not exceed any of acid waste lagoon performance figures.
  
  

• January 01, 2004 the company changed titanium dioxide trade name to CRIMEA CR of corresponding marks (CRIMEA CR-1, CRIMEA CR-02, CRIMEA CR-03, CRIMEA CR-04, CRIMEA CR-07). As a result of this change and in order to prevent products commercial counterfeiting, we designed absolutely new titanium dioxide packing: 25 kg flap and sewn bags as well as big-bag containers. To correspond the general design of the company Ammophos packs have also been changed.
  

• January 01, 2004 the company launched new packaging line for titanium dioxide packing with capacity of 150-250 bags/hour or 3 to 6 tons per hour. It meets all international requirements and standards. It allowed to fully automotise packaging process and decrease product losses while filling the bags.
  

• In the beginning of 2004 the new completed Central laboratory was officially opened, that united all laboratories existing earlier at the factory. Analogues of the similar laboratory in Ukraine today don’t exist. The laboratory complex is completed with the advanced hi-tech equipment from Japan, Korea, the USA, and Germany. The given equipment will give an opportunity to carry out more thorough studies of raw material, intermediate product and ready product that allow approaching quality of TiO2 pigment to a level of leading world manufacturers. Further the SJC "Titan" plans to install modern analytical and test equipment in the laboratory according to requirements of the international standards.
  

• For the first quarter 2004 made a commodity output on 123 196 thousand UAH. in established prices, that almost in 2,5 times more, than for the 1 quarter 2003. In particular, in physical units:
  - TiO2 is made 17, 9 thousand tons, it is twice more of the level of the similar period of the last year;
  - A sulfuric acid is let out 96, 6 thousand tons that makes 210 % to the level of the first quarter of the last year;
  - ammophos is made 13,5 thousand tons;
  - Red pigments - 433 tons.
  
  

• On April, 23 2004 own steam turbogenerator was launched by capacity 6 ÌÂò at the enterprise, established in a boiler shop. All design characteristics of the turbine are adhered to parameters of manufacture of the company.
  Expenses of the project made 12 million UAH. A period of recoupment - 3 years.
  The given project is carried out due to proceeds of credit of the European Reconstruction and Development Bank and grant ÒASIS, realized by the company “UkrEsko". According to a financial estimation of the SJC "Titan" can serve the credit of such size without essential risk.
  

• On June 30, 2004 SJC "Titan» restored and commissioned the second system of the shop of a sulfuric acid. The value of the project made 26 million UAH. The project of reconstruction of the department and all works had been developed and carried out due to forces of the experts of the enterprise. Start of the second system will allow to increase the release of a sulfuric acid from 30 thousand tons a month up to 45 thousand tons a month, thus to cover own needs of the enterprise in this product.
  

• In the first half of the year 2004 the enterprise increased production in established prices by 94,1 % up to 264931 thousand UAH. Manufacture of TiO2 increased by 61,1 % up to 36411 tons.
  

• On August 31, 2004 during the visit of the enterprise by the President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma the symbolical capsule under construction of new shop of a sulfuric acid had been put. The new shop by productivity of 600 thousand ton / year will be constructed with use of modern technology double contact/double absorption. The improved technology will allow to approach the norm of the charge of power resources and raw material to world leaders of this branch, and also to lead the norms of ecological cleanliness to the European standards. Besides, the new shop will occupy in some times smaller area.
  

• In September 2004 according to the decree of the president of Ukraine signed on July 7, 2004 about the creation of a technological complex on extraction of ilmenite ores and manufacture of TiO2 with the attraction of the investor the joint venture in the form of the closed joint-stock company « Crimea TITAN » with the authorized capital that made 736146895 UAH had been created. The founders of Joint-Stock Company « Crimea TITAN » were SJC "Titan" and RSJ Erste Beteiligungsgeselschaft mbH. The share of SJC "Titan" in joint venture makes 368073448 UAH or 50 % + 1 share, the share of RSJ Erste Beteiligungsgeselschaft mbH - 368073447 UAH or 50%-1 share.
  
  

• On October 19 2004 the enterprise was visited by one of the editors of the largest editions in the world on paint and varnish coverings PPCJ and APCJ David Vaughan-Lee. The purpose of the arrival was to publish the detailed information on activity of the leading manufacturer of TiO2 in the East Europe of Joint-Stock Company “Crimea TITAN”. David Vaughan-Lee met the administration and got to know its industrial activity. The arrival of one of the editors APCJ and PPCJ is an indirect recognition of the enterprise as leading world means of the specialized information.
  

• For 9 months 2004 the volume of sale of a commodity output had grown on 66, 8 % in comparison with the similar period 2003 and made 440 474 thousand UAH.
  
  The total amount of release of a commodity output for the specified period had made 429 767 thousand UAH, that on 188585 thousand UAH or on 78 % more in comparison with the same period 2003.
  The volume of manufacture of the basic product of the company of TiO2 for this period increased on 18 303tons or 47, 8 % and made 56 558 tons. Volumes of manufacture of accompanying products also had grown, in particular:
  - ammophos in 3,6 times from 17503 tons in 2003 up to 64383 tons in 2004.
  - A sulfuric acid in 1,6 times from 207000 tons up to 329900 tons
  - Red iron pigment in 1, 8 times from 1647 tons up to 3034 tons.
  
  

• On November 16, 2004 organizational structure of Joint-Stock Company « Crimea TITAN » is authorized
  

• On November 30, 2004 State Property Fund of Ukraine by corresponding certificates affiliated to Joint-Stock Company « Crimea TITAN » Irshanskiy mining and processing integrated Plant and Vilhnohirsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant.
  Contracts of rent were signed by the parties 06.09.2004
  
  

• From January, 15 till January, 20 including current year the payment of the percentage income under bonds of the 3-rd release of B series was made. The total sum of payment made 680550,00 UAH.
  A series B were released for the sum 15 million UAH with term of the circulation 2,5 years - since October, 15 2003 till April, 14, 2006-with quarterly payment of the percentage income
  
  

• Since January the company has started the release of a new mark of TiO2 CRIMEA CR-08 on the basis of shop " Titan - 2 ". In December 2004 within the framework of the program on expansion of branded assortment 4 experimental batches of the specified mark on 20 tons were released.
  Mark CR-08 is an equivalent replacement of marks of leading world manufacturers of TiO2 « Huntsman Tioxide », "Kronos", "Kemira" (Tioxide TR92, Kronos 2190, Kemira RD3) and has the improved qualitative characteristics on light resistance and atmospheric durability. The new mark is used as a universal pigment in manufacturing of industrial coverings and paints. The basic difference from already released ones is an additional process by connections of zirconium.
  
  

• In February on results of work for 2004 in a home market for practically full performance of treaty obligations the company has paid to the contractors of ISL PP ZIP, PE Oleynikov, PEPF "Enamel", Polifarb Ukraine bonuses for a total sum 479862 UAH.
  According to items of the made contract the company - buyer takes up obligations to get during year the volume of TiO2 "fixed" behind it, agrees the schedule with breakdown on months.
  The named companies "have chosen" the planned volume of production at a rate of 1540 tons, 350tons, 445 tons, 390 tons accordingly.
  In total on delivery of TiO2 to the market of Ukraine within last year 34 contracts were made.
  In total on a home market of Ukraine in 2004 the company delivered 6516 tons of TiO2.
  It is the second similar action. The first was carried out on results of 2003.
  
  

• In May the mill was purchased for grinding red iron acid pigment being relative product for manufacture of TiO2. Red iron acid pigment (a red pigment) is applied in ceramic and building industries for producing red ceramic tile, a red tile and a red brick.
  The given installation will allow to lower oil-absorption power of a product from 24 to 20 units and to reduce the size of particles in 1,5-2 times. In December 2004 the experts of the company carried out testing of the given equipment in Dnepropetrovsk. At this stage the industrial tests are carried out.
  
  

• In the 2nd quarter the company increased the volume of manufacture in the comparable prices by 10,1 % up to 176,585 million UAH in comparison with the similar period of the last year. Manufacture of TiO2 in comparison with the second quarter of 2004 increased by 19 % up to 22,05 thousand tons, a sulfuric acid - by 43,2 % up to 137,9 thousand tons, red pigments - by 3,3 % up to 1,353 thousand tons.
  

• September 14 at the session of the Supervisory council, the protocol ¹ 3, the decision on change of the rate for the subsequent percentage period, from October, 15, till October, 15, 2006 for each series was accepted..
  The new rate makes: for a series B - 16 %;
  For a series C - 16 %.
  
  

• In the 3d quarter major repair with full automation of the third line on manufacture of a sulfuric acid with replacement heat exchange equipment came to the end and park of pumps that led to the reduction in expenses on 17 UAH on 1 ton of sulfuric acid. Such necessity arose in connection with the growth of volumes of manufacture of TiO2 and loading of shop ammophos. Before carrying out the reconstruction of two working lines with total capacity of 30000 tons / months did not satisfy requirement of the enterprise for an acid. In this case since August 2003 the enterprise had to get a part of a necessary acid from other manufacturers. Introduction of the third line has allowed to increase release of a sulfuric acid in shop up to 1600 tons / day. General capacity of three lines has made 48000 tons / months, that completely satisfies requirements of manufacture today.
  

• In November company defined the winner of the tender on construction of a new hi-tech shop on manufacture of a sulfuric acid by capacity of 600 thousand t/year.
  The winner of the tender become a Ukrainian-German consortium of JSL " Cityterm " – Hugo Petersen GmbH - Chemieanlagenbau Chemnitz GmbH. The advanced technologies and last scientific achievements in the field of construction of chemical installations were put in a basis of the offers of the consortium. Prospective term of implementation of the project - 24 months. The cost of the project is estimated in 55 million euro. Hugo Petersen GmbH includes following tasks: scientific substantiation, engineering of the project and transfer of license technology to Joint-Stock Company « Crimean Titan ». Harmonization of the German project will lie on shoulders of Ukrainian company " Cityterm " with the Ukrainian norms, and also necessary expert coordination, functions general contractor and construction on " a turn-key basis".
  The purpose of the construction of a new shop is necessity of "Titan" to provide with a sulfuric acid of TiO2 manufacture at increasing its capacity up to 120 thousand t/year. After starting the new shop will produce 600 thousand tons of a sulfuric acid a year and to develop 12 mW/hour of the electric power and 96 ton of steam on technology. For today, existing shop on manufacture of a sulfuric acid is equipped with three industrial lines and develops 540 thousand tons a year.
  According to the plan of reconstruction one line will be deduced from operation. Thus, the total volume will make 960 tons of a sulfuric acid a year. Thus emissions SO2 and a fog of a sulfuric acid in an atmosphere in view of higher degree of conversion and absorption will be considerably reduced.
  

• In December the company reimburse the credit in 15 million UAH, directed on reconstruction of manufacture of a sulfuric acid. The purpose of the carried out reconstruction - start in action of the third technological line on manufacture of a sulfuric acid. The credit was given by JSL « State export-import bank » for the period of 1 year within the framework of a direct line of the European bank of reconstruction and development (European Reconstruction and Development Bank). The interest rate made 18 % annual.
  

• In December within the framework of the program of introduction of energy saving technologies of Joint-Stock Company « Crimea TITAN » started a new gas-compressor shop.
  The project, in the total cost of 1550 thousand dollars. The USA or 12,51 million UAH, was financed by the European Reconstruction and Development Bank and implemented by the company « ESCO Commertz » (affiliated with company " UkrESCÎ " which had been already taking part in construction of steam turbine branch of the boiler shop in co-operation with the professionals of Joint-Stock Company « Crimea TITAN »).
  The project on modernization of manufacture system and distribution of compressed air included installation of modern power efficient compressor equipment with a leading-out in a reserve of the out-of-date equipment of existing compressor stations. For maintenance of manufacture process of compressed air with the electric power and water, and also for distribution of produced compressed air to consumers of the enterprise existing engineering and technical communications are used which have been reconstructed.
  Works were confined by creation of two new turbo-compressor stations in buildings of existing compressor stations ¹ 1.
  The given project allowed to make compressed air with high quality indicators which correspond to technological requirements. Installation gives an opportunity of real 30 % of economy of the electric power. Thus annual economy of expenses for operation of compressors would decrease on 60 %.
  

• In the 4 quarter in shop " Titan - 1 " mounting installation of geared reduction of solutions titanyl sulphate iron scraps (instead of reduction of solutions titanyl sulphate by a cast-iron scraps) is made. It gave the opportunity to automize process of reduction of the titan, to improve the quality of solutions titanylsulphate due to decreasing the impurity quantity, brought in a product with a cast-iron scraps. A total cost of works - 202 thousand dollar(USA).
  

• In the end of 2005 Increase in volume of manufacture and development of new marks of a product and for improvement the quality of TiO2, the disaglomirated dryer (company " ALLGAIER ", Germany) by the cost of 1305,92 thousand Euro was purchased.
  

• In the end of 2005 Development of the project on construction of a complex of "branch - decomposition" in shop " Titan - 3 " is finished by total cost of 30,5 million USD, the construction is planned to start this year. Start of shop will allow to increase a release of pigment TiO2 up to 120 thousand tons a year. Since the 4th quarter 2005 building works on erection of the bases under the technical equipment and building of slurry tank are conducted.
  

• By results of 2005 on existing capacities the company made TiO2 of 87153 tons, that on 9 278 thousand tons and on 12 % more in comparison with 2004. Such result is an achievement as in 2005 it was planned to let out 80 thousand tons that makes a project capacity of plant. However, due to modernization of manufacture the enterprise made 87,153 thousand tons, and next year plans to let out 91 thousand tons of TiO2. The given increase occurs within the framework of the program on escalating capacity of manufacture of a pigment up to 120 thousand tons by 2010.
  The total amount of release of a commodity output in established prices for 2005 made 733500 thousand UAH, that on 141376 thousand UAH or 23,87 % more in comparison with 2004. The total amount of release of a commodity output in the comparable prices for the specified period made 685 398 thousand UAH, that on 75 618 thousand UAH or on 12, 4 % more in comparison with 2004.
  Volumes of manufacture of related products for this period increased, in particular:
  - ammophose on 15727 from 82 731tons in 2004 up to 98 458 tons in 2005.
  - Sulfuric acid on 81200 tons from 455300 tons up to 536 500tons.
  Capacities were loaded on the basic kinds of production:
  - TiO2 on 100 %
  - ammophose on 82 %
  - sulfuric acid on 99,03 %.
  
  

• In the 1st quarter in shop " Titan - 1 " mounting installation of filtering centrifuges for maintenance of productivity of 50 thousand tons of a site centrifuging and improvement of quality of a ready product is carried out: decrease in the contents of iron with 0,4 up to 0,32 and improvements whiteness of TiO2.
  

• In the 1st quarter 2006 in shop " Titan - 1 " the automatic packing line was established (groups of companies "BEUMER" and "HAVER*BOECKER", Germany) by cost of 598 thousand Euro. In January, 2005 the company signed the contract with German consortium Haver and Boecker and BEUMER on purchase completely automatic packing system INTEGRA 1W German manufactures in cost of 540 thousand Euro. The term of delivery of the equipment - 6 months. The system will be established in the shop " Titan - 1 " and allow to atomize the processes of packing, to lower losses of production at packaging in container. The specified system completely meets the international requirements and standards.
  INTEGRA 1W provides packing product in bags, stacking of bags on pallets, packing of the filled pallets in a stretch-sleeve.
  Productivity of the automat device on packing a product in 25-kg bags, that makes 220 pieces / hour or 5,5 t/h. The automatic device is equipped with the filling horizontal turbine that guarantees the most limiting compression of TiO2, and also full absence of dustiness during packing. It is stipulated ultrasonic soldering of the valve of a bag that will allow keeping cleanness of packing to destination, and also guarantees accuracy of weight.
  For stacking on pallets the packing system is supplied with robot BEUMER robotpac®. Its productivity makes up to 600 pieces / hour. The chosen type of the robot, will allow expanding in further a line, adding its one more packing automatic device and also to pack up and stack on pallets simultaneously two different products. Besides the technology is stipulated, allowing to compress a cargo on the pallets so that it has the minimal dimensions and at transportation kept packaging.
  In system the automatic packer of ready pallets in a stretch-sleeve is applied, and also the automatic account of the packed and shipped product is stipulated.
  
  

• The 1st quarter 2006 With the purpose of decrease power inputs and increase of capacity of shop on manufacture of TiO2 had been got and mounted automatic membrane filter-press (the company « ANDRITZ AG ») on loading calcining furnaces in cost of 730 thousand Euro.
  

• In the 1st half-year 2006 Also the first turn of installation on clearing water by a method of the opposite osmose which will allow to let out 300 3\h water for TiO2 manufacture was started . Works of capital character on water treating for submission on membranes under capacity of 900 m3/h are made.
  

• The 2006 year end production of titanium dioxide totaled 86 905Mt (metric tons), compared with 86 153 Mt at year-end 2006 representing a decrease of 0,3% (or 248 Mt ).
  
  In 2006 apart from the main product - titanium dioxide - the Company produced:
  - 101 121 Mt of ammophos which is by 2 663 tons or 2,6% up in comparison with 2005;
  - 533 476 Mt of sulphuric acid which is by 3 024 Mt or 0,6% over 2005.
  These changes occurred because the enterprise has been implementing the program for a large-scale reconstruction and modernization of its production facilities , and also because of restricted availability of energy products due to introduction of natural gas consumption limits.
  
  In 2006 the capacity utilization rates for the production of main products were reported as follows:
  - titanium dioxide -100,0%;
  - ammophos- 84,3%;
  - sulphuric acid- 98,8%.

• On the 8th of June 2007 the General Meeting of Shareholders adopted the decision to appoint Mr.Aleksandr Igorevich Nechayev as the Chairman of the Board of the Company..

• In July, 2007 the production engineering service of JSC "Crimea TITAN" celebrated the 40 anniversary. The production and technical department was founded in 1967. It was the base for two structural units which operate now: Chief technologist department and engineering department. Representatives of all shops and services of JSC "Crimea TITAN" come to congratulate the heroes of the day. The Company administration has awarded with Certificates of Merit, honorary mentions, and costly presents not only those who are working now but also the retired employees who were the reliable base of the enterprise.

• December 2007 - The Supervisory Board coordinated the obtaining of a credit for the construction of a new sulfuric acid production plant.

• In July 2008 the recertification audit procedure for compliance with requirements of international standards ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 has completed successfully at Crimea TITAN (ISO 9001: Quality management system and ISO 14001: Environmental management system). (ISO 9001:2000 ANAB, ISO 9001:2000 UKAS, ISO 14001:2004 ANAB, ISO 14001:2004 UKAS). The audit has been carried out by Ukrainian representative office of international organization for certification Bureau Veritas Ukraine.   Crimea TITAN was one the first Ukrainian companies which carried out successful pre-registration procedure for its products according to the REACH Regulation (the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals)
  
  
• September 1st, 2008 is a birthday of a new sulfuric acid production workshop. On this day on the territory of the future workshop there was the first daily briefing of plant management and expert personnel responsible for the construction, also a pile layout for pointing the axes of future foundation was begun.
  
  
• In December 2008 Crimea TITAN expands distribution network: Crimea TITAN produced first 500 MT of the brand new product - CRIMEA TiOx-271 TiO2 grade - for customers of North America market.
  
  
• Summarizing results in year 2008 Crimea TITAN's commercial output totaled to UAH 1,234,600. The growth versus year 2007 amounted to 35,5% or UAH 323,8 mln. The plant produced 90,3 th. tonnes of titanium dioxide that is 2% more (namely 1,8 th. tonnes more) than in year 2007, and 518,6 th. tonnes of sulphuric acid, and 75,5 th. tonnes of ammophos. Crimea TITAN paid taxes and dues to the amount of UAH 110,2 mln., that is UAH 15,8 mln. more (namely 16,6% more) than in year 2007. Capital investment in 2008 amounted to UAH 156,3 mln. For 2008 Crimea TITAN had losses of UAH 34,877 mln, and increased its net profit up to 9,5%, namely UAH 151,534 mln. more up to UAH 1 748,497 mln.

Year 2009

• In January 2009 due to the financial crisis and gas supply shortage Crimea TITAN reduced production capacity utilization to minimum, however in spite of tough times for TiO2 producers Crimea TITAN continued to realize investment project of new sulphuric acid plant construction.
  Starting with January 1st, 2009 Crimea TITAN changes its brand and trade names of titanium dioxide grades. Crimea TITAN has got appropriate certificates of new trade marks' registration in November 2008. Thus, since January 1st, 2009 the former TiO2 trade name Crimea CR is changed to Crimea TiOx. Thereafter former TiO2 grades, namely Crimea CR-02, Crimea CR-03, Crimea CR-07 and Crimea CR-08 will appear in the market under the trade names of Crimea TiOx-220, Crimea TiOx-230, Crimea TiOx-270 and Crimea TiOx-280 respectively.

• In May summarizing results of 2008 Crimea TITAN company staff was listed at the Board of Honour of Republic of Crimea as the acknowledgment of high professional skills and effective work of company employees.
  
  
• In July 2009 the actual TiO2 production output reached 8902 MT that is 14% more than in 2008. Also Bureau Veritas successfully carried out the supervisory audit at Crimea TITAN's site for compliance with requirements of international standards ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004  (ISO 9001: Quality management system and ISO 14001: Environmental management system).
  
  
• In August 2009 for the first time there was all-time highest result of production output, namely Crimea TITAN produced 9144 MT of titanium dioxide. Totally the growth of industrial production amounted to 6%.
  
  
• September was the fourth month in 2009 when there was increase of production performance. TiO2 output exceeded the target figures and reached 8,75 th. tonnes, and the net profit of the company amounted to UAH 8,4 mln.
  
  
• In October 2009 TiO2 output exceeded the previous production performance results in August and amounted to 9310 MT, as a result of manufacturing activity the company got the net profit of UAH 12 mln.
  
  
• In December 2009 TiO2 output was 9158 MT, as a result of manufacturing activity the company got the net profit of UAH 4,5 mln. Besides in December there was 40 years anniversary celebration from the very beginning of Crimea TITAN's manufacturing activity.
  
  
• Summarizing results in year 2009 titanium dioxide production totaled to 86,5 th. tonnes. Totally in 2009 Crimea TITAN's net profit (jointly with the affiliate plants: Irschansky GOK and Volnogorsky GGMK) according to preliminary data amounted to about UAH 90 mln.

• In February, 2010, titanium dioxide production totaled 7 777 tones.
  
  
• In March, 2010, the plant received large-sized equipment for the new sulfuric acid production plant - intermediate absorber (the diameter of the apparatus - 6.5 meters, the height - 12 m).
  
  
• In April CJSC Crimea TITAN got to summarize the functioning of the collective agreement in 2009. Collective agreement conference call appeared to rate the plant management as “good” and voted for 7 more suggestions to be included in the document including vacation bonus and decreasing vacation resort “Volna” vouchers cost.
  
  
• CJSC Crimea TITAN economic activity results in May, 2010, showed the end of negative period for the plant induced by crisis - production exceeded set amount. This month titanium dioxide production totaled double the amount (100 % increase) of the same month last year; sulfuric acid and aluminum sulphate - 200% increase, iron oxide pigment - 426% increase respectively. All in all, the period from May, 2009 till May, 2010 saw the record production capacity for the plant - 106 thsn. tones of titanium dioxide were produced. Moreover, CJSC Crimea TITAN has been awarded the winner diploma of the IX international contest “The Best paint and varnish products” as a part of XI international exhibition for paint and varnishes manufacturers, equipment, raw materials, packaging materials manufacturers and production technologies “Primus:Interkraska-2010”. 
  
  
• In July CJSC Crimea TITAN underwent regular supervisory audit to check the plant conformance to international standards ISO 9001: 2008 “Quality management system” and ISO 14001: 2004 "Environmental management system".
  
  
• On 22 of October, 2010, general meeting of shareholders of CJSC Crimea TITAN was held where the former acting general executive of the plant Alexandr Shitmanyuk was voted to become the Chairman of the Board.
  
  
• In November Crimea TITAN was set to complete a number of production modernization projects: main rainfall discharge collector has been revamped to increase warranty service life of the system up to 70 years; black filtration site saw the beginning of commissioning work for two filter-presses and 4 slurry clarifiers which would allow increase in the site capacity and also decrease in release in working area and labor input of operators; completed were repair-and-renewal operations for the third system of now operating sulfuric acid production plant. Also, as a result of promotion of a football team TITAN to the first league of domestic championship, stadium “Khimik” was set for revamping. Restoration of the main field with grass surface replacement, construction of the utility building, purchasing new display board, lighting installation are the main tasks to be completed before the beginning of a new football season.
  
  
• December, 14, CJSC Crimea TITAN received landmark 100 000 tone. This record-breaking yearly production capacity was achieved in less than 12 calendar months. Also in December the installation of large-sized equipment for the new sulfuric acid production plant was completed. Crimea TITAN successfully registered its products according to European Regulation REACH and received registration codes for all dossiers submitted to European Chemicals Agency.

• JANUARY
  Summarizing the results of the work of "Crimea TITAN" for January 2011, the production of the main product - titanium dioxide – amounts to 8917 tons, ammophos - 8300 tons and 50 043 tons of sulfuric acid. The plan is made for all positions.

• FEBRUARY
  "Crimea TITAN" won the project "Pride of the Nation" and became one of the best companies of Ukraine on the basis of the project "Right-flank of the Ukrainian economy. Building complex. Energy conservation" organized by the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
  The team of "Crimea TITAN" was awarded the diploma "The best companies of Ukraine" in the "Chemical Industry" section. A special sign of respect and gratitude for the hard work of each employee for a single result was a diploma "Best Company of Ukraine" and the statue of "Nika" which were presented to Alexander Shitmanyuk - the Chairman of the Board of the company.
  Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Crimea Vladimir Yatsuba as a part of trip to the northern region of the peninsula visited "Crimea Titan". He became acquainted with the main production, saw the seriousness of upgrades being implemented, estimated scale and rapid construction of a new sulfuric acid plant, and also made sure that the company complied with the conditions of the collective agreement, the administration of the plant fulfilled all its obligations.
  Summarizing the results of the work of "Crimea TITAN" in February, the production of the main product - titanium dioxide – amounts to 8366 tons (8000 tons planned), ammophos - 8166 tons (8000 tons planned) and sulfuric acid in the planned rates. The geography of sales and sales of commercial products increased significantly.

• MARCH
  Starting with March 1, specialists of "UTEM-engineering" started an extensive work for infrastructure of the new sulphuric acid plant.
  Companies of holding "Titan of Ukraine" were united under a common social agenda. This was decided at a meeting of social services, labor organizations and Human Resources departments of "Titan of Ukraine" PJSC. On March, 17 the representatives of "Crimea Titan", Irshansk GOK and Volnogorsk MMC, Zaporizhia Titanium plant and "Sumykhimprom" endorsed the general direction in ensuring a worthy benefits package for their employees.
  "Crimea Titan" summed up results for March as follows: titanium dioxide - 8975 tons, ammophos - 9200 tonnes, red iron oxide pigments - 475 tonnes, aluminum sulphate - 523 tons, sulphate technical - 2004 tonnes, iron sulphate technical - 3817 tonnes.

• APRIL
  Chairman of the Supervisory Board of "Crimea TITAN" Alexander Nechayev was awarded the prize "Man of the Year 2010" in nomination "Industrialist of the Year." A. Nechaev regarded this award as recognition and appreciation of work of the whole team of "Crimea TITAN".
  "Crimea TITAN" reached new records, this time in the field of energy supply of the company. The steam-turbine power unit the with capacity of 6 MW / h produced record amount of electricity - 4 million 140 thousand kW / h, which corresponds to an average of 5.7 MW / h
  Closed Joint Stock Company "Crimea TITAN" became Private Joint stock Company under the Law of Ukraine "On Joint Stock Companies". Application of rules of law in corporate activities can help improve corporate relations in joint stock companies, to protect the interests of minority shareholders, as well as to fix resistance to the practice of raiding.
  "Crimea Titan" summed up the performance of the collective agreement for 2010. On April, 14 the whole-plant conference summed up the company management and labour collective, which interests are represented by the trade union, were both reliable social partners in 2010 and commended the performance of all sections of the collective agreement by parties.
  "Crimea Titan" summed up the production results for April as follows: titanium dioxide - 9140 tonnes, ammophos - 7502 tons, sulfuric acid - 45 823 tons.

• MAY
  Following the results of the work of 2010 the names of eight best workers and two labor collectives were marked on the town Board of Honour. Among them are the team of acid workshop of Crimea TITAN and Michael Ronin, the foreman of workshop Titan-2.
  The best collective agreement was signed on Crimea Titan on the eve of May holidays as the fourth consecutive time the collective agreement of Crimea TITAN was named the best among the industrial enterprises of the peninsula as a result of competition Federation of Independent Trade Unions of the Crimea.
  The Construction of the new sulfuric acid plant at Crimea Titan site entered the active phase of construction of the plant site. The installation of absorption towers was completed, foundation for cooling towers was made, the foundations of the tanks for water treatment were made and construction works in the existing stock of sulfur were made.
  There were also the modern dual-platform truck scales installed with strain gauge weighing results with preservation of the computer.
  By Chemist Day (May, 29) the stadium "Chemist" was reconstructed including installation of a new electronic scoreboard, upgraded equipment, and slight repair of road to the camp “Uyut”; Crimea TITAN team together with town public utilities carried out cleaning of town territory.
  A good gift for the professional holiday of factory workers was the final victory of football team "Titan" in season 2010-2011 in the match against the strongest player in the first league of Ukrainian football – “Alexandria” team.
  "Crimea Titan" summed up the production results for May in 2011 as follows: the company has worked steadily, continuing to increase capacity. Production results are the following: titanium dioxide - 9362 tons, that is 462 tons more than planned; sulfuric acid - 46,257 tons, ammophos - 6129 tons.

• JUNE
  At the plant man-made lake during the competition in sports fishing for carp to the cup of "Titan" among 27 Crimean and Ukrainian teams new Ukraine records have been set – the carps were caught weighing 21kg 440gr and 21kg 860gr. Totally 165 carps were caught jollily weighing 953 kg.
  Crimea Titan has launched summer health campaign. In early June the holiday season began in resort center "Volna" and opened the first shift in the children's country camp "Sokol" at Black Sea coast near Evpatoria. June 11, there was the sea and the sun holiday in Armyansk – in the first town school camp "Brigantine" met children aging from 6 to 14 years.
  June 11, in Armyansk the first festival of amateur art groups and artists was launched (amateur art groups and artists of State holding company "Titan of Ukraine")
  During celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine company staff was awarded the Diploma of the Presidium of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
  Ahead of schedule and with winning results football team "Titan" finished first season of the 1st League. The final whistle of the match "Titan" - "Prikarpatie" recorded a victory of "Titan" with the score 2:0 (1:0) that allowed our team to go up in rating of the tournament to the 12th place.
  In June, Crimea TITAN produced 8702 tons of titanium dioxide, 7220 tons of ammophos, 43,209 tons of acid and 451 ton of red pigments.
  Crimea TITAN summed up the work for a half year. Compared to 2010 the company is ahead for the production of titanium dioxide by 1.3 thousand tons.

  At the factory reservoir during the competition in sports fishing for carp in a cup of "Titan" of 27 Crimean and Ukrainian teams have been set new records in Ukraine - caught carp weighing 21kg and 21kg 440gr 860gr. A total of 165 specimens caught carp weighing 953 kg.

• JULY
  Crimea TITAN became one of hundred top companies in Ukraine. The leader of "TOP 100: Best Top-Managers of Ukraine. The tactics and strategy" according to "Ukrainian Investment Newspaper" has become Alexander Shitmanyuk, the Chairman of Crimea TITAN PJSC. Thus, in accordance with the study of "Ukrainian Business Leaders. Ten years of economic development of Ukraine" held in May 2010, Crimea TITAN Private Joint Stock Company ranks sixth among the leading chemical enterprises in our country.
  Summarizing the results the month production rates in July, "Crimea TITAN" produced 9430 tons of titanium dioxide (the maximum output for the month in the whole history of the enterprise), ammophos - 8000 tons, sulfuric acid - 43 387 tons and 459 tons of red iron oxide pigment.

• AUGUST
  Crimea Titan launched a new social project - the factory radio. Every day at lunchtime via the internal wired radio receiving station on air of the factory radio one can hear news of the town and region, current information from the administration, the trade union committee and the department of social development of the enterprise, also birthday greetings, positive horoscope and much more - all for a good mood of factory workers.
  In August, Crimea TITAN production results are the following: titanium dioxide- 9091 tons ammophos - 4677 tons, sulfuric acid - 37 145 tons.

• SEPTEMBER
  On September, 1 Crimea TITAN gave all first-graders (240 kids) new schoolbags with stationery. The schoolbags as a gift from Crimea TITAN are presented during last ten years in a solemn ceremony to first-graders by the school leavers. In 2011, the expenditures for the gifts for September 1 amounted about UAH 60 thousand.
  Crimea TITAN made its impressive contribution to the preparations for celebrating the 275th anniversary of Armyansk. By the Town Day the second phase of resettlement of town square was completed. Crimea TITAN took an active part in this project as it provided the materials required for the successful implementation of the town program "Shining Town" and together with the municipal office of Armyansk the voluntary works were carried out such as cleaning the town area.
  The main intrigue of the Town Day for the third consecutive year becomes the prize awarding ceremony "Public recognition" where among the best in various categories are employees of Crimea TITAN.
  On September 16 the conference of the primary organization of war veterans, labor and military service of Crimea TITAN. The number of veterans in organization today amounts to 1,600 people, half of whom worked at the plant for 30 years and six veterans have the seniority at the plant practically equal to the age of the enterprise - 40 years.
  The recreation center "Volna" of Crimea TITAN successfully completed the holiday season of 2011. Over the entire period here rested 5347 people among them are 1492 employees of the enterprise and their families. Working team of "Volna" was awarded a diploma for the 1 place in nomination "The best health center in north-west region of Crimea." By the award in the annual town contest "Public recognition" the canteen No.8 was marked. This canteen is located at the recreation center "Volna" becoming the best dining facility of Armyansk in 2011.
  Crimea Titan summed up production results for September: titanium dioxide - 8996 tons, ammophos - 9003 tons, sulfuric acid - 46 291 tons, red iron oxide pigments - 455 tons.

• OCTOBER
  Dmitriy Firtash, the Head of Joint Movement of Employers of Ukraine and the Head of the Board of Directors of Group DF went to Crimea Titan with a working visit. Together with the plant administration, he inspected the construction site of the new sulfuric acid plant.
  Representatives of the leading companies in titanium industry and relevant institutions at Crimea TITAN PJSC site held a seminar-conference named "Prospects for the production of titanium dioxide and mineral fertilizers on the plants of Titan of Ukraine MCC PJSC.
  Crimea Titan summed up the performance of the collective agreement for the first half of 2011 year. During the voting for performance of the administration and the trade union committee was considered good.
  Crimea Titan made a record - the production results of 2010 were exceeded, summing up the work of the company during 10 months. Production results are the following 90,124 tons of titanium dioxide that is 1 700 tonnes more than in the period from January to October last year.
  In October Crimea TITAN produced 9145 tons of titanium dioxide, 6508 tons of ammophos, 48 017 tons of sulfuric acid, 440 tons of red iron oxide pigments.

• NOVEMBER
  On November 6 there was a great event for all Orthodox people of Armyansk - the consecration of St. Nicholas Church. Crimea TITAN made its contribution to approaching of this event. Crimea TITAN purchased and installed an iconostasis, made landscaping, including making fencing and putting tile. In addition, charitable assistance was provided to St. George's Church and the Church of the Holy Forefathers.
  Crimea Titan summed up the labor competition between shops in the third quarter of 2011. In the first group of factory units the workshop "Titan-2" took first place; in the second group a separate unit division was leading; in the third group the results were the following: the first place took the Department of Instrumentation and Automation, the second place took a household workshop, and the third place took a railway workshop.
  Crimea Titan revived the Board of Fame, where the names of the best employees and division employee teams are recorded.
  The football season ended in a professional league. Our team "Titan", a member of the first league, held 21 meetings in the Championship of Ukraine and scored six victories and four draw games. 23 goals are scored (average 1.1 per game), 22 points are got (34.9% of possible) that determined the 13th place in the standings. At home the team played 10 matches in which scored four wins and two draws. The footballers scored 10 goals (an average of one per game), got 14 points (46.7% possible). Football team "Titan" held 11 meetings, two of which scored wins and two meetings are draws. The footballers scored 13 goals (average 1.18 per game), got 8 points (24.2% possible). Our team scored the fastest goal in the 2nd minute (Vitaliy Subochev), the "latest" one was scored on the 83rd minute (Alexander Yarovenko). In the first half of the game "Titan" has scored nine goals in the second one - 14. Football team “Titan” fulfilled main tasks set by the administration of the club.
  Alexander Shitmanyuk, the Chairman of the Board of Crimea TITAN elected president of football club "Titan".
  In November, the production results of Crimea Titan are the following: titanium dioxide - 8802 tons, ammophos - 4354 tons and sulfuric acid - 46 150 tons.

• DECEMBER
  On December 3, 2011 at 21:00 Crimea Titan produced one hundred thousandth ton. At the end of the working time of the day shift "G" produced 100 thousand 142 tons of titanium dioxide. This is a record figure for all years of the enterprise. Last year, this amount of product was produced on December 14. Overall, in December the company produced 9143 tons of titanium dioxide, 38,620 tons of sulfuric acid.
  Production of Crimea TITAN is one of the best products of Ukraine. Another recognition of the company effective work was a reward for Ukrainian quality competition "100 best goods of Ukraine". The company staff was awarded a diploma and a statuette of the winner, and the plant was noted as the best and most progressive enterprise of all chemical industry of Ukraine.
  Wellness Campaign held by Crimea Titan in 2011 declared to be among the best in the country. This conclusion was made by the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine acc. results of a nationwide review of trade union organizations and labor groups for a better organization of rehabilitation of workers and recreation for children in summer of 2011.
  Companies of the state holding company Titan of Ukraine united under the program of social sector development until 2018. This program was discussed by the representatives of social services, trade unions and labor collectives of Crimea Titan, Sumykhimprom JSC, Irshansk and Volnogorsk mining complexes and Zaporozhye Titanium complex.
  The construction of a new sulfuric acid plant is in progress. Overall assessment of performance of construction works on site is about 80%. Further work will be mainly conducted in the facilities, on trestleworks and apparatus. The office building is ready for operation, interior finishing work is complete, and furniture and equipment are being installed.
  December 16, 2011 marked the emergence of a new tradition of Crimea TITAN - a solemn dedication of young professionals. On the initiative of the company, annually for new employees, for whom the plant was the first workplace, a welcome festive is organized for a many thousand staff. For example, in 2011, Crimea TITAN got 120 young workers, and in the course of events they had got a symbolic start in work life.
  Crimea TITAN won first place in the national ranking of "Exporter of the Year" for performance in 2011, according to State Statistics Committee. This confirms the high status of the special professional achievements and leadership of company.
  In December 2011 there was the anniversary for a number of workshops of Crimea TITAN: Titan-1 workshop, Ammophos workshop, CSA&CP Workshop and a Separate TiO2 Production Unit - these units have celebrated the 40th anniversary.
  On the New Year eve of 2012 Crimea Titan launched another social project – the web-site Social Titan http://titan.crimea.ua was created for the employees. The information on this web-site is divided by themes - sport, culture, recreation, trade-union committee, career and history. A separate section is devoted to Armyansk, where all important events in the life of the town will be highlighted. There is also a section with interesting information for entertainment, photos, and videos about the life of the plant and the town.
  Improving the effectiveness of the "Crimea TITAN" contributed to 25% increase in salary of workers in 2011.
  Summarizing the work results of 2011 Crimea Titan has produced 108 069 tons of titanium dioxide, which is an absolute record in the history of the company. For comparison - in 2010 105,681 tons of TiO2 were produced. Please note that originally designed capacity of the plant was 80 thousand tons of titanium dioxide per year. This significant increase in output has been achieved through the reconstruction and modernization of production, as well as professional and well coordinated work of all staff of the enterprise.
